A large number of people turned out Saturday outside the Tuscarawas County Courthouse to join rallies across the nation.
This was in protest of Republican policies at the state and federal levels.
Tuscarawas County Democratic Party Chair Mike DiDonato says these ‘hands off” rallies were in response to slashes or proposed cuts to what he calls basic rights such as social security, healthcare, jobs, and more.
It’s estimated that about 500 people in all had attended Saturday’s hour and a half rally at one time or another.
