Randall J. “Randy” Fearon, 74, of Strasburg passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, August 29, 2022, following a brief battle with cancer.

Born on June 29, 1948, in Dover he was a son of the late Hugh and Marjorie Eash Fearon. Randy was also preceded in death by his brothers, James, and Dan Fearon.

He retired in 2003 from the United States Postal Service as a Rural Mail Carrier after many years of service; he was also a Franklin Township Trustee for 17 years and was a member of the Grandview Union Cemetery Board. Randy served his country with the United States Army and was a member of the New Philadelphia VFW, and the Strasburg American Legion where he was the Commander for 20 years, and was involved with the burial detail.

Randy is survived by his wife of 54 years, Patricia Kaltenbaugh Fearon whom he married on April 27, 1968; son, Scott (Meredith) Fearon of Strasburg; daughter, Molly (Nate) Lattimer of Missouri; grandson, Corey Fearon; sister, Linda (Ron) Reiger of Strasburg; sister in law, Marsha Fearon of Dundee.

Cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Strasburg. A service celebrating Randy’s life will be held on Tuesday, September 6th starting at 11:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Strasburg with Rev. Jason Rissler officiating. Interment of the ashes will take place in the St. Aloysius Catholic Cemetery at Strasburg where the Strasburg American Legion will conduct military services. The family will be greeting friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10-11 am.
