Raymond Charles Bancroft, Jr., 71, of Newcomerstown, passed away on April 13, 2022, at Riverside Manor Nursing & Rehab Center in Newcomerstown. He was born October 16, 1950 in Jackson, MI to the late Raymond Charles Bancroft, Sr. and Retha Maysel (Rogers) Bancroft.
Raymond spent many years as a truck driver, as well as time in various other jobs. He was an active member for 34 years in the Philadelphia Church of God. He enjoyed playing guitar, watching movies, and traveling. He was married to his wife, Sharon Bancroft, for 28 years before she passed away.
Raymond is survived by one daughter, Heather (Bancroft) Fenton and her husband, Gary of Newcomerstown; his son, Raymond Charles “Chuck” Bancroft III and his wife Colleen (Moore) Bancroft of OK; his grandchildren, Zarek Fenton, Chelsea (Fenton) Martin, Caleb Fenton, Cathryn, Jacob, Abby, and Luke Bancroft; great-grandson, Cayson Fenton; two sisters, Diana (Bancroft) Miller and Marie (Bancroft) Frymier; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
