Tuscarawas County’s Treasure is reminding all that the Second Half Tax Bills for real estate and manufactured homes are due by this Friday, July 18th. Payments can be made to the Treasurer’s Office at 125 E. High Avenue in New Philadelphia. There is a drive-thru window, or in-person payment can be made. Payments can also be made online at www.co.tuscarawas.oh.us. If an individual has not received a tax statement, contact the Tuscarawas County Treasurer’s Office immediately. Failure to receive a tax statement does not eliminate responsibility to pay real estate taxes and penalties or interest accrued.
Elsewhere, the Dover Public Library will host a community conversation about basic information about property taxes on Tuesday, July 22 at 6:30 PM. Forming the panel will be Tuscarawas County Auditor Larry Lindberg, former Tax Commissioner for the State of Ohio Joanne Limbach, and Dover Mayor Shane Gunnoe. They will explain what property taxes are and how they work.
