Rebecca Ellen Carpenter Baker – December 31, 2022

Rebecca Ellen Carpenter Baker died peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, December 31, 2022, at the Riverside Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center Newcomerstown Ohio, following an extended illness.

Born in Cambridge Ohio, to the late Charles Raymond and Thelma Margaret (Wasson) Carpenter. She was a graduate of Newcomerstown High School, the Aultman Hospital School of Nursing-Malone College, Canton Ohio, and the Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati Ohio, Nurse Practitioner Program. She was a Registered Nurse-Pediatric Nurse Associate, retiring from the Coshocton County Health Department with 25 years of service to the community. She also served on the Newcomerstown Board of Education for 9 years, and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, serving in many capacities.

Surviving is her husband James Wesley Baker who she married on December 23, 1969, sons Scott (Denise) Baker, and Todd (Rochelle) Baker, grandchildren Sarah (Caleb) Thomas, Daniel Baker, Tyler (Amber), Tanner (Cassie Delcambre), Troy Baker, great-grandchildren Hadley and Hayden Thomas, Sophie and Olivia Baker and Alice Delcambre. Brother Craig Wasson Carpenter. A memorial service will be held later, memorial contributions can be made to the St. Paul Lutheran Church.
