The TUFF Bags Summer Meal Program will run June 9th through August 7th and is available for all children living within Tuscarawas County.
Director Lisa Walker says they will be out in the community Monday through Friday. They’ve also added a few new sites this year.
“We’re going to have lots of opportunities for families to try to get to us and we recently acquired a second delivery vehicle, so we’ll be able to offer more home deliveries for families with transportation challenges. We’re trying to reach some of our more rural areas, so we’ll be in Ragersville, Baltic, Sandyville, Wainwright. We’re going to be partnering with the book mobile and following their schedule for when they’re going to be in those areas. We’ll also have sites in Strasburg, Newcomerstown, Port Washington, Midvale, New Philadelphia, Uhrichsville, Bolivar, and Dover.”
She asks for child enrollment to be done by June 2nd and individuals can give her a call at 330-401-3283.
