Relay for America is making an over 3,000-mile journey from San Francisco to Washington D.C.

The nationwide journey is carrying a single American flag to unite the country and arrive at the National Mall on July 4th to celebrate the nations 250th anniversary.

A tracker map expects participants to be near the Village of Newcomerstown on Wednesday around 11am. They’ll be on County Road 9 before transitioning to West State Street and East State Street to travel across the village. Resident are encouraged to come out and show support.

The route carries them onto 258 along the Tuscarawas River. Participants will make the transition on to Dunlap Creek Road SW before going back to route 258 and across Peoli before crossing the county line. On their journey east, Relay for America will also go through Freeport. The group is expected to leave Ohio around 9pm Wednesday.
