The Republican Man State Central Committee for the 31st District will appear on the March 19th ballot.

Charles Blake is challenging incumbent Doug Wills for the position.

Challenger Blake, a retired United States Army Special Forces veteran, says a main issue he feels passionate about is transparency.

“I’m running for this position to help bring back transparency and integrity to the central committee. I believe that our constituents are often not represented properly.”

Blake notes that he is not a politician, instead calling himself an upholder of the Constitution.

Incumbent Wills says he has many endorsements from local leaders for his past work.

“A new endorsement that I’m very proud of is Sheriff Orvis Campbell because I’ve stood up for law and order. Another thing that I’m very proud of is my commitment to agriculture farm.”

Wills adds, if re-elected, he will continue to also support small businesses, the oil and gas industry, and bringing in more jobs.
