He was a life member of the Uhrichsville Elks and the Dennison AIC, and he loved spending time riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle every chance he got. He attended Immaculate Conception Church in Dennison with his wife and daughter for many years.
On June 23, 1962, Dick married the former Janet Marlene Pickens with whom he enjoyed 59 years of loving marriage until her passing on August 1, 2021. They are survived by their daughter, Sandi Albright; grandchildren, Sara Swiney, Megan Ott, and Maya Ott; and great-grandchildren, Baylee Swiney and Parklynn Martin. Dick is also survived by his sister, Norma Staley, and a large extended family including his in-laws and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by their son, Richard A. Bargar, Jr.
