Richard Henry Rodgers, age 62, of 31088 Campbell Road, Freeport died in WVU Harrison Community Hospital Emergency Room at 11:48 p.m. Saturday, February 3, 2024, after an apparent heart attack.
He was born September 30, 1961, Tartum, Pennsylvania; a son of Nancy Lee Stivers Rodgers of Freeport and the late Henry John Rodgers.
Rick graduated from Lorain County Joint Vocational School and attended Lorain Community College. He worked for Castek Aluminum in Elyria, Ohio until taking a medical disability due to declining health five years ago.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of forty-four years, Joyce Lou Poling Rodgers. They were married May 1, 1985. Also surviving are a daughter, Richelle Rodgers, a son, Richard Henry Rodgers, Jr., two grandchildren, Tayidem Blaylock and Jacob Rodgers; a great-granddaughter; two step-children: Edgar Blaylock and Thomas Blaylock; and a sister, Terri Rodgers.
