Ridgewood Names New Middle School Principal

Described as a Servant Leader, Shawn Miller has been selected to serve as the new principal at Ridgewood Middle School.

Miller’s career spans 23 years at Tusky Valley and Strasburg school districts, play pivotal roles in teaching leadership classes, being a Project Lead the Way instructor, and an intervention specialists.

Ridgewood Local Superintendent Mike Masloski notes that Miller has a dedication in empowering future leaders while bringing an enthusiasm to foster a positive school environment and student success.

“One thing that set Shawn apart from the rest of the candidates is his description of being a servant leader of really focusing on students and continue to build a culture of a positive environment built on trust and being consistent, and really talked a lot about the commitment of the growth of the students.”

Miller’s appointment, for the building housing 4^th through 7^th grade, is effective August 1^st and he takes over for Bryan Raach, who what been appointed as Ridgewood’s Director of Student Services.
