Rising Costs the Reason Behind Twin City Water, Sewer Increase

At a recent council meeting representatives from the Twin City Water Department gave more details on why there is a $3 increase this year.

Board member Wally Hines says the increase this year is $1 for water and $2 for sewer. Before the department board takes a vote, they do consider several factors.

Water Rate 3 “Wages, utilities, our supplies, meters and hydrants all those things have gone up. We try to be financially responsible but keep the place running.”

Hines also notes more increases for Uhrichsville and Dennison in the three-year outlook, which will be a $2 increase in 2027 and another $2 in 2028.
