Indian Valley High School principal Robert Clarke retires after 34 years in public education.
While serving 13 years as principal, the school received many achievements along with Clarke being recognized at the state and national level.
His focus was preparing students for the next step in their life after high school. He introduced the 3-Es philosophy to Indian Valley High School, encouraging every student to be enrolled, employed or enlisted after graduation. As a result, the school achieved 5-star ratings in both the College, Career, Workforce and Military Readiness component and Graduation Rate.
Superintendent Dr. Ira Wentworth says Clarke dedicated his career to help students discover a successful path for their future.
He says, “His leadership has strengthened Indian Valley High School in countless ways, from academic achievement to the advancement of college and career programming. His impact will be felt for years to come.”
Clarke’s retirement will become effective at the end of July, and the district will begin the process of selecting the next principal.
