Robert Junior Werker, age 74, of Millersburg died peacefully on his birthday at 12:03 a.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2022 in the Community Hospice Truman House in New Philadelphia. He was born in 1948 on May 4th in Timken Mercy Hospital in Canton, Ohio; a son of the late Robert Werker and Margaret Evelyn Yackey.

Bob was a 1966 graduate of Garaway High School in Sugarcreek. He retired after 53 and a half years driving bulk truck for Gerber & Sons in Baltic delivering feed.

He enjoyed traveling, hunting, and fishing in Bob’s Lake, Westport, Canada. He loved the woods and timbered his own trees. He also milled and planed his own lumber. Bob’s specialty was hog roasting for weddings, graduations, and all types of celebrations.

Surviving is his wife of twenty-five years, Judy Louise Phipps Werker. They were married June 1, 1996. Also surviving are a son, Devon (Robin) Werker of Sugarcreek; a daughter, Kimberly Westhoefer of Sugarcreek; step-children: Craig Romine, Patrick Romine, Amy Latham, and Rebecca Scalise; four sisters: Ruth Thompson, Phyllis Gooding, Rose (Garry) Thomas, and Janice (Richard) Morrel; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Bob was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Lautenschlager; a great-granddaughter, and his father and mother-in-law, Bill and Bertha Phipps.

Cremation was arranged by Koch Funeral Home in Freeport. A private graveside service and burial will be held in Greenmont Union Cemetery, Freeport.
