Robert Lawrence Corra, Jr., 61, of Gnadenhutten, passed away while surrounded by his loving family on Monday, April 1, 2024, after bravely battling cancer. Born March 30, 1963, in Dennison, he was a son of the late Robert Lawrence Sr. and Dorothy Maxine (Moore) Corra.

Bob grew up in Gilmore and was a 1981 graduate of Indian Valley South High School, before earning an Associate Degree in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at Kent State University Tuscarawas which prepared him for his 36-year career at Novelis in Uhrichsville (formerly BarMet, Commonwealth, and Aleris). He was a devoted employee – known for his exemplary work ethic – who continued to serve as a Quality Process Technologist throughout his treatments for cancer. When he wasn’t working, he was happiest spending time riding his Harley with his wife, whether it was for various poker runs and benefit events, longer trips to Bike Week with friends and vacations, or even just around town. Bob also loved spending time with his children and his fur grandbabies, Dutton, Kilo, and Sox. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Dennison.

On July 27, 1991, Bob married the former Galen Marie Myers who survives him along with their children, Robert W. Corra and Alexandra M. Corra. He is also survived by his siblings, Rebecca (Derrick “Rick”) Corra-Gordon, John (companion, Samantha) Corra, and Christine Corra; aunt, Jeanie Scarlott; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents and many aunts and uncles.

Father Jeff Coning will celebrate the funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 6, at Immaculate Conception Church. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery near Dennison.
