Robert Lee Bayliss, 31, of Strasburg, died unexpectedly on Saturday morning of February 4, 2023.

Robert was born in Lancaster California on June 7, 1991, then moved to the area during his childhood, where he lived the rest of his life. He attended Indian Valley High School, where he wrestled, played football, and worked at his first job, baling hay with Jack. He went to Buckeye Career Center, where he learned his love for heights. He started out clearing trees for the power company, then served his country as a paratrooper in the U.S. Army. After his term, Robert worked for CS Trucking, and then became a tower technician for Vision, working on cell phone towers, which, ironically, caused him to go through many cell phones due to dropping them while on the towers.

Although a bit of a workaholic, Robert enjoyed his recreational time as well. He liked to skateboard with friends at Evolution and the New Phila Skate Park, watch wrestling, drink a Corona and some moonshine, and picking on his brothers and sisters. Robert was an avid Cowboys fan. He loved to eat and go out to eat, and he adored his family, his girlfriend of five years, and his dog Kanga.

Surviving are Roberts’s parents Sandra and Dave Berger of Uhrichsville, girlfriend Nicole Chambers, five siblings: Kristina Baker, Kaitlinn Orr, Cameron Orr, Hunter Berger, and Christian (companion Cheyenne McCue) Baker; grandparents: Marilyn Smith, and Ed and Sherry Orr; nieces and nephew Joesie, Delilah, and Iris Stout, and Dax Baker; second mom/crazy aunt Jamie Randolph, and many other cousins and relatives.

Preceding in death are grandparents: Janice and Harry Bayliss, Delores and Earl Berger, and an uncle Rodney Bayliss.
