Robert Ray Fox, known by many as “Foxy”, passed away at the age of 84 on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare Truman House in New Philadelphia, after a brief illness. Born October 25, 1939, in Dennison, he was a son of the late Ben Albert and Harriet L. (Hisky) Fox. Bob was a lifelong Twin City resident who had worked for the local water department and clay pipe industry.

On August 2, 1993, he married Lillie (Napier) Fox with whom he enjoyed nearly 29 years of loving marriage until her passing on March 29, 2022. Bob’s surviving family includes his son, Jeffery (Faith) Fox, Sr.; grandchildren, Hope Fox, Charity (Wyatt) Fox-Baker, Jeffery Fox, Jr., and Joey Devore; many great-grandchildren; stepchildren, Sue (companion, Edwin Shea Burdette) Haney, Dan Everett, John Everett, and Charlie (companion, Carrie McBee) Park; numerous step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren; sister, Alma Jean “Punky” Roahrig; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Joanne Matthews, and stepchildren, Donald Kosegi and Vicki Morris.

Rev. Jim McConnell will officiate a 1:00 p.m. funeral on Wednesday, May 22, at the R. K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison where his family will receive callers from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., prior to the service. He will be interred in East Avenue in New Philadelphia.
