Robert Wayne Shinabery, 69, of Gnadenhutten died at home Sunday morning of July 7, 2024.

Bob was born in Dennison on January 19, 1955, to the late Robert B. and Anna Marie (Gentilini) Shinabery. He graduated from Indian Valley South in 1973, and then became a mechanic for Gibbs Chevrolet in Dennison. Following that, Bob went to work for the former Arizona Chemical, now Kraton, as an instrument technician. He retired from there in 2020.

A racing enthusiast, Bob watched and attended many NASCAR events, and he built and raced his own cars at Midvale Speedway. Bob also worked on cars at home, helping friends with various repairs and rebuilds. Bob also loved his dogs and kept up with the latest news on tv.  

Surviving are his two sons: Robert Ryan Shinabery of Newcomerstown, and Jon (Sandra) Shinabery of Dennison; his former wife and now companion Peggy (Haught) Shinabery, three granddaughters: Katelyn, Keira, and Alexandra Shinabery; three sisters: Tammy Shinabery, Jaynie (Rod) Henline, and Susie (Rick) Bower all of Newcomerstown, and brother, Don Shinabery of Gnadenhutten.

 In keeping with Bob’s wishes, he will be cremated with no service or visitation.
