Rocky Lindon Dryden, age 69, of Gnadenhutten, O., passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at his residence, following a brief illness.

Rocky was born August 21, 1955, in Dennison, O., he was the son of the late Walter and Thelma (Taylor) Dryden.  In addition to his parents, Rocky is preceded in death by best friend Chad Poland.

In 1973, Rocky graduated from Claymont High School.  After graduation, he devoted his life to being a firefighter/EMT for 33 years at the city of Uhrichsville.  He was a member of the IAFF Local 4265, Rush Township Fire Card Club, Tusky Volunteer Fire Department and Dennison Volunteer Fire Department.  Rocky enjoyed golfing and he was an avid Dallas Cowboys and Ohio State fan.

Rocky is survived by his fiancé Terri Stull, of the home; his children Skeeter (Michelle) Dryden of New Philadelphia, Michael (Erin) Dryden of Port Washington, Nathan Dryden of Gnadenhutten, Kaylyn (Andrew) Mullet of Gnadenhutten and Bailey Stull of Dover; siblings George (Gloria) Dryden of Stow, Jacquie Whitmire of Gnadenhutten, Jeff (Mitzi) Dryden of Dennison, Greg (Sandy) Dryden of Dover and Matt (Penny) Dryden of Tusky; ten grandchildren Madison (Mason) Dryden, Mercedes Dryden, Mason Dryden, Zach Dryden, Makayla Dryden, Chase Dryden, Easton Dryden, Dallas, Colt “Jake”, Andrew Mullet and another on the way due in October and one great grandchild Paisley Schlemmer.

Funeral services for Rocky will be held on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at 8 p.m., at the Uhrich-Hostettler English Funeral Home, Inc. in Uhrichsville, O., with the Rev. Mark Unrue officiating.

Calling hours are from 4 to 8 p.m., (four hours prior to services), at the funeral home.  Fireman services will be held at 7:30 p.m.
