Roger L. Bourne, of Newcomerstown, passed away peacefully at his home Friday morning, June 28, 2024, at the age of 86.He is survived by his wife of 3 1/2 years, Karen M. Bourne, his children, Robert (Karen S.) Bourne of Newcomerstown, John (Jennifer) Bourne of Sierra Vista, AZ, Linda (Bryan) Davis of Gnadenhutten; sisters, Barbara Marlatt and Norma Moore both of Newcomerstown; stepchildren, Bobby Septer, Billy Septer, Brett (Rhea) Septer, Beth (Joe) Perry, Michele McPeek and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Roger was a pastor of Full Gospel Temple for 25 years and was semi-retired until his death. He was Scout Master of Troop 450. He served in the National Guard from 1956 through 1958.
He was preceded in death by his wife Jennie of 50 years and daughters Susan Bourne and Diane Whitehair.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday July 3, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the Addy Funeral Home in Newcomerstown with Pastor Darrel Dakin officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery in Newcomerstown. Visitation will be Tuesday July 2, 2024 from 5 to 7 pm at the Addy Funeral Home.
