Roger Lee Shalosky, 71, of Plainfield, Ohio, left this earth on April 9, 2022 after a very short illness. Roger was born in Dennison, Ohio on March 13th, 1951 to the late Earl and Betty (Clark) Shalosky. He graduated from Ridgewood High School and went on to be a farmer for 37 years. He left farming so that he could spend more time at home with his family and went on to do factory work. Until his death, he worked at Deflecto in Dover, Ohio. He was known for being an extremely hard and dedicated worker, as well as for his nearly perfect attendance at work.

He is survived by the love of his life, Patty (Elliott) Shalosky of Plainfield, whom he married on August 18, 1984. He is also survived by their daughter, Meghann Rose Shalosky of Plainfield. Roger was a family man that would do anything for his wife and daughter, and both women will miss him desperately.

Roger is also survived by his sister, Bertha Lawrence (Marvin Harris), his brothers Sonny (Loretta), Tim (Rhonda), Dan (Suzie), and Mark (Donna) Shalosky, and his brother-in-law Tim (Vicki Addy) Elliott. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He is preceded in death by his brother, Frank Shalosky.

He loved John Deere tractors, cars, camping, fishing, and spending time outdoors. He had an extensive collection of hats and was usually seen wearing one. He was also known for always having a smile or a piece of candy to share with others, as well as his great kindness.

Per his and his family’s wishes, there will be no services held. The burial of his cremated remains will take place at a later date at Union Cemetery in Port Washington, Ohio.
