Rose K. Cunningham 96, of Bolivar, died Tuesday June 28, 2022 at Park Village Nursing Home in Dover. Born April 23, 1926 in Benoit, Wisconsin, she was a daughter of the late Gjura and Sofija (Hranich) Krog. From 1978 to 1996 she taught nutrition to the nursing students at the Tuscarawas Campus of Kent State University.
Rose was an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bolivar. She enjoyed reading, Jigsaw Puzzles, sewing, cooking, but she especially enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren.
Her husband, Robert Cunningham, whom she married July 5, 1958, preceded her in death on June 15, 1996. She is survived by two children Mark (Kim) Cunningham of Bolivar and Beth Cunningham and her husband David Wolfe of Hyattsville, MD.; 2 grandchildren Tony Cunningham and Jennifer Taylor; 2 great grandchildren Sierra Taylor, Chase Cunningham and a brother George (Catherine) Krog of Two Harbors, Minnesota.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers Ivan, Joseph, Stephen and sisters Mary, Francis and Ruth.
Funeral services will be held Thursday July 7, 2022 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bolivar. Rev. Mike Pozzuto will officiate and burial will follow in Fort Laurens Cemetery in Bolivar. Friends may call Wednesday from 5 to 8 PM at the Lebold-Smith Funeral Home in Bolivar and one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday.
