The republican who defeated state representative Brett Hillyer in the primary will go on to take his place in Columbus.
Jodi Salvo will represent Tuscarawas County in the Ohio House for the next two years after edging out the democrat nominee by over 15-thousand votes in Tuesday’s preliminary totals.
“Feels really surreal to realize that I have the honor and privilege of representing House District 51. So, at this point, it’s just getting ready. We have orientation starting the week of the 18th, so learning the expectations and the workings of the position of State Representative.”
Salvo notes she will transition from her local job over the next six weeks, while also meeting with business and community members.
