Mary Alice Reporting – Twenty-nine shows are scheduled to take the stage at the Performing Arts Center and Kent State Tuscarawas for the 2023-24 season.
On the list, that starts in September, is comedy, Christmas celebrations, bands, and Broadway.
During Saturday’s unveiling event, General Manager David Mitchell says that this year’s theme is “Extraordinary Moments, Life-long Memories.
“Be reminded about the amazing things that happen in this facility. These extraordinary moments that happen on this stage. Live theatre, live performances, live concerts only happens once, in that singular moment, never to happen again.”
Among the shows on the scheduled includes Penn and Teller’s The Foolers, Dry Bar Comedy Live, Scotty McCreery, Diamond Rio, Christmas in Killarney, Boy Band Review, the Simon and Garfunkel Story, Annie, On Your Feet, The Texas Tenors, and Puddles Pity Party. The timeline to purchase tickets has a window where PAC members, with held seats, will have the chance to purchase those seats until Friday, June 16th. The member pre-sale will then go until June 21st and then package sales become available.
“Starting on the 22nd the general public can start purchasing packages of four [shows] or more and then individual shows, for everything, go on sale the 26th.”
Mitchell adds that there is always a chance for shows to be added throughout the year based upon availability.
Among other things returning will be school outreach workshops with several performers and for the second times, a world music and lobby event will transport attendees to Germany.
