New Philadelphia’s Christmas Parade is Friday night. It steps off from Tuscora Park at 6:30 p.m. and makes its way down North Broadway to the square. After turning right onto West High Avenue, the parade will turn right onto Second Street Northwest concluding at the Tuscarawas County Public Library. Guests can visit the library for cookies, hot cocoa, and photos with Santa Claus.

Then Dover’s Christmas Parade is Saturday. It starts at 4:45 p.m. near Crater Stadium at the intersection of Crater Avenue and East 7th Street. The route is Betcher to East 3rd to Wooster where it ends at the 2nd Street intersection. 

However, Mayor Shane Gunnoe says the festivities start downtown before the parade gets there as he will read ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas and the high school and middle school choirs will perform at 4:15.

And there’s more after with Santa stepping off his float into his little house on Wooster Avenue. Kids can visit with the big guy and enjoy cookies and hot cocoa.

Christmas in Zoar is Saturday and Sunday with live music and a celebration that follows American and German traditions. There will be horse-drawn wagon rides, tours of the village and lots of holiday shopping specials. Santa and Kriskind, the German Belsnickel and even Krampus will be around.

Light Up Sugarcreek is Saturday from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Downtown Sugarcreek will host a parade at 4:30. There will be live music, free hot dogs, cookies and hot chocolate, and Santa and Mrs. Claus will be there. Plus sleigh rides, crafts, a model train setup and more.
