Mary Alice Reporting – Students wanting a seasonal job or looking to gain experience can apply at the Tuscarawas County Engineer’s Office.

The opportunity is in the road and bridge department with potential applicants being a current high school senior or current college student who will be enrolled in higher education for Fall 2023.

Tuscarawas Engineer Joe Bachman says the typically hire about 10 seasonal workers.

“We use seasonal workers for flagging and painting, and just basically a little bit of everything, and it really works out well for the young people that work here. We have a flexible schedule. They can start anytime and end anytime, depending on their school schedule.”

Those performing job duties satisfactorily in the first summer will be invited back for a second summer opportunity.

At $12.50 per hour, the summer work week is Monday through Thursday from 6:30am to 4:30pm.
