Individuals who take care of someone aged 50 and older can get support each month.
The Tuscarawas County Senior Center is hosting the 4:30pm to 6pm meeting beginning February 22nd. Following that first event, the caregiver support group will be held on the fourth Thursday each month.
It will be led by a licensed social worker to provide support, advocacy, resources, and community referrals. Based on the needs of the group, guest speakers may also be scheduled.
The goal is to have a welcoming and confidential setting so that individuals taking care of a certain age group have a place to come together, talk, and gain support.
