Seth Meechan, age 33, of New Philadelphia, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, April 14, 2022.
Born August 9, 1988, in Dover, he was a son of Bonnie Keffer (David) Kandel of New Philadelphia and Tim (Venita) Meechan of Canal Fulton. Seth graduated from Dover High School in 2007 and was employed by the Belden Brick Company, Sugarcreek. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing at Tappan Lake, playing the guitar, and football – especially fantasy football.
In addition to his parents, Seth is survived by his daughters, Melody Marie and Kiera Lee Meechan; his sister and brothers, Kayleigh, T.J., and Dominick Meechan; his grandmother, Thelma Keffer; and his aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Delbert Keffer, and John Sr. “Ted” and Isabel Meechan; and his uncles, John, Michael, and David Meechan.
Family and friends may call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover, on Tuesday, April 19, 5 – 7 p.m. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 20, at 11 a.m., in the funeral home; Pastor Jon Long of Otterbein United Methodist Church in New Philadelphia will officiate.
