The Tuscarawas County Council for Church and Community wants to notify people about a change to their Share-A-Christmas program.
People who want to apply for this year must call in July, between the 6th and 30th, to T4C’s office to make an appointment for September.
Executive Director Leslie Booth explains why this change is made.
“That way we can remind them of, A; their appointment, B; the items they need to bring that they don’t get it missed because we don’t want anyone to be missed this year. We want to make sure everyone remembers and don’t want you to get there and not have the stuff you need. So, it’s just like a win-win. We wanted it out there so people know.”
This faith-based, nonprofit runs on mainly donations to help families with toys and gift cards to help purchase new clothes during the holiday season.
