Sharon E. Yoder, 74, of Dover passed away suddenly at her home on Thursday, September 1, 2022.
Born on April 28, 1948, in Baltimore, Maryland she was a daughter of the late Wilbur and Norma Logue Harmon. Sharon was also preceded in death by her brother, Wilbur Harmon Jr., and son-in-law, Howie Stevens.
She had been employed at Sugarcreek Budget Publishers for many years. Sharon was a faithful member of the Church of New Hope in Dover and the Senior Center. She had a passion for helping those in need, especially children, she and Robert were Foster Parents to six children throughout the years. She enjoyed sewing and was also a talented seamstress.
A wonderful and loving wife, mother and grandmother Sharon will be sadly missed by her husband of 45 years, Robert J. Yoder whom she married on July 9, 1977; children, Michelle Stevens of Coshocton, Lance (Ellen) Yoder of Twinsburg; sisters, Sandra Nelson of Tennessee, Deborah Verill of Florida; grandchildren, Bethany (Michael) Sheets, Bret (Sabrina) Penick, Miles, and Ethan Yoder; great-grandchildren, Renly and Logan Sheets and Bella Holder.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 7th starting at 11 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover with Rev. Dan Legg officiating. Interment will be in the Union Hill Cemetery at Sugarcreek. The family will be greeting friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
