It is with deep sorrow that we announce the unexpected passing of Sharon Krantz on May 30, 2026, at the age of 66.

Born on May 19, 1960, a daughter of Sarah Carrier and the late Richard Zeiger. She was also preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law, Arthur and Waldine “Skip” Krantz, and brother-in-law, Richard Vesco.

She graduated from Tusky Valley High School in 1978.

Sharon married Doug Krantz on January 28, 1978. Their 48-year marriage was a beautiful example of love, friendship, and true partnership. Together they raised four children and were later blessed with a precious granddaughter who became the joy of Sharon’s life.

Sharon was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She spent many years volunteering her time to various church groups, touching so many lives. She was a selfless giver, always quick to offer whatever was needed. Whether it was a flash of her beautiful smile, a prayer, a listening ear, a word of encouragement, or a safe place to stay, she would often have “extra” kids in her home, being a mother to all who needed her.

Sharon is survived by her loving husband, Doug; children, Zachary (Erin Norman) Krantz, Ashley (Nick) Kerns, Tyler Krantz, Michaela (Drew Helton) Krantz; granddaughter, Willow Krantz; mother, Sarah Carrier; sister, Barb Livengood; sisters-in-law, Holly Vesco and Jan Kelker; and many nieces and nephews.

She also had many special friends, her group of friends called the Hair Bears, and her friends at Canal Street Diner, Barbie and Kiki and many others.

As a giving person, Sharon’s final act of kindness was to give the gift of life through organ, eye, and tissue donation.

A private family service will be held. A celebration of life for family and friends will be announced at a later date.
