One person is killed in a two vehicle crash involving a motorcycle.
On Thursday, around 3:20pm, the New Philadelphia Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol Post responded to State Route 39, just west of Fable Road SW, in Carroll County.
According to investigators, a Honda Silver Wing was northeast on SR 39. A Ford Super Duty pulling a flatbed trailer slowed to turn right onto a private driveway. Other vehicles between the Ford and motorcycle had also slowed.
The Honda driver, 70-year-old William Burrows, of Sherrodsville, drove off the side of the road and struck the side of the flatbed trailer.
Burrows was pronounced deceased on scene. OSP notes that a helmet was not being worn.
The patrol adds that the Ford’s operator, a 46-year-old, of Dellroy, was cited for commercial driver’s license requirements.
