Shirley Ann Bachie, age 83, of Gnadenhutten died at 4:21 p.m. Wednesday, February 16, 2022, in Claymont Health and Rehabilitation Center in Uhrichsville.
Born August 5, 1938, in Uniontown, Wheeling Township, Belmont County, Ohio; a daughter of the late Andrew Sklenicka and Gail Caroline Dingey Sklenicka.
She graduated in 1957 from Colerain Public School District. She retired as resident manager from Buckhorn Village in Newcomerstown, and formerly had managed Dennison Woods Apartments.
Shirley loved to do ceramics, crafts, gardening, loved nature and animals. She was a member of the New Philadelphia Seventh Day Adventist Church. She loved to travel and while her husband was in the army their family traveled to Germany, Alaska, and all thru the United States.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Kalman Bachie, who died on October 15, 2006.
Surviving is a daughter: Sherry Ann (Robert Allen) Gutensohn of Gnadenhutten; two grandsons: Michael Phillip Gutensohn of Columbus, Daniel Isaac Gutensohn of Hillard; and a Grandpuppy Cooper; and a Grandkitty Rose.
In addition to her parents and husband, two sisters: Frances Horvath and Carolyn Reed; and two brothers: James Campbell and Glenn Campbell.
Visitation will be held from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. in Koch Funeral Home of Gnadenhutten on Monday, February 21, 2022. A service will begin at 3:30 p.m. Monday also in the funeral home with Pastor Tom Klaserner officiating. Burial will follow in Gnadenhutten Clay Union Cemetery, Gnadenhutten.
