Shirley M. Jones, 87, of Port Washington, Ohio passed away peacefully Sunday, May 26, 2024, in Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital. She was born in Port Washington, Ohio, daughter of the late Louis E. and Minnie Salchli Jones.
She graduated from Port Washington High School and Columbus Beauty School. She was a local area beautician for 14 years. Shirley was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Port Washington where she sang in the choir and taught Bible School for many years.
Throughout her life Shirley spent much of her time caring for family members. Shirley is survived by two sisters in law, Margery Jones and Naomi Jones; many nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her sisters, Jane and Pauline and brothers, Louis Jr., Clifford, Robert (Luella), William, Donald, and Ronald.
A private family service will be conducted by Rev. Jim Shamel. Burial will take place at Union Cemetery in Port Washington.
