Two individuals, an adult and juvenile, are in custody following a shots fired call in the City of Uhrichsville.
A release indicates that on Saturday, a few minutes after midnight, Tuscarawas County Sheriff Deputies were asked to be on the lookout for a white Toyota 4Runner, possibly involved in the incident. A matching one was located westbound on US 250. A traffic stop was initiated with deputies assisted by Ohio State Patrol and New Philadelphia police.
Seven individuals were in the vehicle, four male juveniles and thee 18-year-old adults.
Interviews were conducted and it was determined that an altercation occurred at a Uhrichsville address, on N. Dawson Street, where a 17-year-old had fired shots toward the group, and as they were leaving, one adult passenger fired shots back.
That male was arrested and taken to the Tuscarawas County Justice Center for improperly handling a firearm in a motor vehicle. Additional charges could follow.
The involved juvenile was also arrested and transported to the Muskingum County Juvenile Detention Center for felonious assault and possibly other charges.
