Troopers are working to determine to cause of a fatal crash on Interstate 77.
New Philadelphia Ohio State Highway Patrol responded Thursday near mile post 94 at 6pm.
They determined that a 2019 Ford F250, driven by 51-year-old Gary Powell, of Canton, was traveling northbound when he went across the median. The truck also crossed both I77 southbound lanes, struck some trees, and a fence.
Powell was transported to Mercy Hospital and was later pronounced deceased.
A seatbelt was in use at the time and alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the ongoing investigation.
