Mary Alice Reporting –

A meeting that will be held in March 2024 is looking for speakers to inspire and motivate.

The annual Leaders of Tomorrow Summit brings in high school students for a one-day event to listen to multiple talks and also break into group workshops.

East Central Ohio Educational Service Center Programming and Communications Coordinator Sarah Spies says that they are looking for individuals who will deliver a message that will guide the youth.

“A lot of them talk about their leadership pathway. How they got to where they are. Some of them talk about failures they’ve encountered. The goal here is to not only encourage high schoolers, who maybe aren’t sure what they want to do, and also encourage them to look within the community to see if maybe they can fulfill their goals and passions here.”

Those interested in speaking are asked to go to the Leaders of Tomorrow page at www.kent.edu/tusc/bcs and fill out the application form.

“It’s really asking for a summary of what their proposal would be fi they want to do the ten to twelve minute talk or the forty-five minute workshop, and why they want to present, what information do you feel like you have that’s invaluable to them.”

Request to speak will be accepted until Friday, September 29th. The summit will be held Friday, March 8, 2024 at the Kent State Tuscarawas Performing Arts Center.
