The Ohio Department of Transportation says State Route 39 east of New Philadelphia – between Tabor Ridge and Tall Timbers roads – is open.
District 11 Public Information Officer Lauren Borell says it had been closed Friday for several hours because a crash brought down several power poles and lines. ODOT assisted by sending out flaggers so the utility company could make repairs.
AEP did not show any customers losing power in that area.
First responders were called to the crash at about 4am and were on scene approximately 90 minutes. State Troopers say it was a single-vehicle accident, and the driver was suspected of OVI. He was not seriously injured.
