Steven A. “Steve” Schupbach, 66, of Dover passed away unexpectedly in his home on Wednesday, July 31, 2024.
Born in Dover on April 6, 1958, he was the son of the late Joseph “Joe” J. and Elsie M. Schupbach. As a 1976 graduate of Dover High School, he was a proud member of the Marching Tornadoes and attended Ohio University.
Steve was retired from the Timken Company in Canton working in the melt shop. He enjoyed hunting mushrooms, and riding his bicycle, but especially his regular visits to the Dover Eagles and Shenanigan’s in Dover visiting with his close friends. Known as “Shubbie” to some, he was an avid Cleveland “Indians” fan and took great pride in his Dodge Magnum. Steve never met a stranger and would talk to everyone, sharing his distinctive laugh.
Steve is survived his brother Michael “Mike” Schupbach of Tampa, Florida; a nephew Joseph J. Schupbach, and niece Hannah C. Schupbach, both of Chicago, IL; and numerous cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents.
