Sherrodsville Fire was dispatched to Roxford Church Road at 4:30pm for a blaze and requested aid from Uhrichsville, Warrick, Dellroy, and Dennison departments.
Chief Dave McConnell says Dennison’s engine was first to arrive.
“[We got] called for mutual aid for tankers and manpower. Upon arrival we had a large pole building used for storage full involved, and we could actually see it from out here on Stillwater Avenue on 250.”
The home was roughly 20 feet from the storage building and suffered minimal damage from melted siding.
McConnell notes that they were on scene for almost four hours.
“We had to setup portable ponds, and we actually had Sherrodsville pump up to us and we were doing tanker operations. We had a fill site setup in Roswell.”
A damage estimate was unknown. An investigator from the county and state will help determine a possible cause.
