Gwen Rummell Reporting –

A long-standing tradition has made its way back to Tuscora Park for the holiday season.

Since its unveiling in 1956, Storybook Lane has become a holiday staple for residents of New Philadelphia and surrounding communities.

Tom Police with the New Philadelphia Rotary Club said they have been working hard to restore the original pieces with several nursery rhymes updated for the 67th year.

“Out of the 24 displays, we were able to restore six more this year. [The] other thing that we’re doing is, half of the displays had no movement to them, but we’re adding movement to each display now.”

The lane will close just after New Year’s, where they will work on restoring four more original pieces and recreate a missing one.

Storybook Lane is made possible by their sponsors, who are recognized on the boards at the end. For more information about becoming a sponsor, call 330-204-6093.
