Mary Alice Reporting –

A Thursday crash in the Village of Strasburg resulted in two to be transported to a hospital with trauma injuries.

Strasburg Fire Chief Steven Laskey says his department was toned out Thursday, at 3:45pm, to the intersection of N. Wooster Avenue and 12th Street.

Upon arrival, Strasburg Police already had the roadway closed with the accident involving a car and two motorcycles.

“We had two medics and an EMT, each attended to a patient. Patient care was attended to on scene. Our mutual aid was requested from Bolivar. They ended up transporting one of the patients and we took the other. That intersection, since I’ve been on the department for the last year and eight months, has been the cause for several wrecks.”

The condition of the two motorcycle riders was unknown.

Within the investigation, Strasburg Police Sgt. Brandon Warman explains all vehicles were on N. Wooster at the time.

“The two motorcycles that were involved were traveling southbound. The car was in the turning lane attempting to turn left onto 12th Street northwest.”

The car driver was cited for failure to yield when turning left.
