Nick McWilliams reporting – A home constructed by Buckeye Career Center students from various programs was sold at auction this week.

The most recent Buckeye House sold for $365,000, auctioned off by Cronebaugh Auctions and Barnett Realtors.

The purchasers, Chris and Jessie Pipes from New Philadelphia, will close on the home in June.

The BCC Board of Education accepted the high bid at their meeting later in the evening the same night.

Construction started in August of 2021 and wrapped up in April of this year, featuring three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a full brick and tile fireplace.

Students in the construction technology, masonry, energy operations, H-VAC, electrical systems technology, and landscaping programs all assisted on the build.

Homes constructed by career center students help improve the area neighbor, while providing needed experience in the real world for all students involved.
