Sue Dallacheisa, 87, of Newcomerstown, passed away on Friday, November 25, 2022, at the Community Hospice Truman House in New Philadelphia. Born in Gnadenhutten on October 30, 1935, she was the last surviving child of the late Milo George and Cora Belle (Cappel) Blind, having been preceded in death by her siblings, Russell, Albert Dean “Bob”, Lloyd, and Mary Josephine Blind.

Sue grew up in Gnadenhutten and was a 1953 graduate of Gnadenhutten High School. She later spent time living in Columbus, Akron, Canton, Philo, New Philadelphia, and Dover before settling in Newcomerstown in 1978. In addition to being a loving mother and homemaker, she was the office manager at Coshocton Counseling Center for 16 years. Sue was active in Whosoever Will Ministries where she had served as their secretary, treasurer, and adult Sunday school teacher for a number of years. In her younger years, she enjoyed a number of active pursuits including horseback riding, water skiing, roller skating, and camping with her family.

She will be deeply missed by her surviving family which includes her children, Connie Maxwell, Maria Dallacheisa, and Tony (Lori) Dallacheisa; grandchildren, Autumn (Ethan) Edwards, and Aeron, Carson, and Summer Hill; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her former spouse, Bob Dallacheisa, as well as her parents and siblings.

According to Sue’s wishes, she will be interred beside her parents in Gnadenhutten-Clay Union Cemetery in Gnadenhutten. Her family plans a celebration of life for a future date, and this website will be updated with details when they are confirmed. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice.
