Nick McWilliams reporting – Area children can receive free meals during the summer months through the Summer Food Service program soon.
Starting June 12th and running through the second week of August, the Salvation Army will provide meals for all children with no charge.
Meals will be provided Monday through Friday, except for when days fall on federal holidays.
At the Dover-New Phila Salvation Army location, breakfast will be served between 9 a.m. and 9:30 a.m., with lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and an afternoon snack from 2:45 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Under federal laws, meals are provided regardless of race, sex, age, financial status, or any other factor.
