Sunday’s Cancer Walk at KSU Tusc will celebrate survivors and support area cancer patients.
The Union Hospital Radiation Oncology Center is hosting the walk. Radiation therapist Brooke Shepler says there are suggested half-mile and 1-mile options, but participants can walk any distance they choose.
Proceeds from the 10-dollar registration fee will help cancer patients with income loss, medication, pre-made meals and transportation.
The Cancer Walk is taking place alongside Paint Tusc Pink for breast cancer awareness, but it supports cancer patients of all types.
