Susan E. Greathouse, 62, of Newcomerstown, passed away peacefully in her home on March 22, 2026.

Born on December 13th, 1963, Susan was the youngest daughter of the late Myles and Barbara (Berger) Greathouse.

After attending Newcomerstown High School, Susan planted her roots in her hometown, where she lived most of her adult life. Susan had a busy social life and could often be found taking long walks around town, stopping to visit friends and neighbors and enjoying the warm weather. She also enjoyed getting together with close and extended friends, many of whom she has known since childhood. In addition to being a proud mom, Susan deeply cherished her role as “Aunt Susie” to several generations of nieces and nephews and was excited to be able to watch her family grow. Susan found comfort in old sitcoms and kept good company with the likes of Andy Griffith, Ray Barone, Rachel Green, and the entire Gulligan’s Island crew. Perhaps, what she would most like to be remembered for, is her great love of the band Aerosmith. After owning every album, memorizing every lyric, and attending well over 20 concerts, her family believes that she has well earned her status as their number one fan.

In addition to her parents, Susan is preceded in death by a brother, Gary Greathouse— and brother in law Richard Cornell.

Susan is survived by her daughter Stacy Studer, two sisters Gayle Adams and Linda Cornell, a close cousin, Michael Greathouse, best friends Lisa Baker, and Samuel Studer and several nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends.

A celebration of life is being planned by the family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you engage in an act of kindness in Susan’s memory.
