A fight on the west side of Dover over the weekend sent two people to the hospital and one to jail.
Police responded to a report of three men fighting near the 300 block of West 8th Street on Saturday just after 5:30 p.m. According to the police report, two victims were taken to Union Hospital, including one suspected of assault. The report says the suspect had brass knuckles, but police did not find any at his house.
After spending a couple of hours in the hospital, the suspect was taken to the Tuscarawas County Jail. He was arraigned in New Philadelphia Municipal Court Tuesday morning where he pleaded not guilty to two misdemeanor counts of assault. He was released on his own recognizance with several restrictions, including continuous alcohol monitoring.
