Ahead of Earth Day, a free drive-thru event will be held to provide a tree seedling while supplies last.
This Wednesday, white and red oak seedlings will be available at the Tuscarawas County Health Department, starting at 3pm.
Community Relations and Promotions Director Jennifer Demuth says there is a limit of one per person as supplies are limited.
“Each tree seedling will come with a hand out that will describe the properties of the white or red oak and it will have planting instructions to help people choose where in their yard or property to plant them and how to properly care for them.”
The hope is that the small plant will develop into a bigger tree and aid in cleaning the air, provide shade, and be a home to animals.
TCHD is located at 897 East iron Avenue, in Dover.
