The Ohio State Highway Patrol says a Tuesday UTV crash was fatal for one occupant.
According to the New Philadelphia Post, at approximately 1pm, two 14-year-olds were occupying a Polaris Ranger on Township Road 203, in Clay Township. They attempted to negotiate a left curve but instead, they went off the right side of the road and overturned.
Both were not wearing seatbelts and were ejected. The juveniles were also not wearing helmets.
One was taken by medical helicopter to Akron Children’s and the other was pronounced deceased at the scene.
OSP continues to investigate.
